Reasons for oil leakage in silent diesel generators

  Prolonged operation of a silent generator under low load can cause damage to mechanical equipment components and lead to combustion, thus requiring timely treatment and repair. The duration of operation under low load or no load should be minimized as much as possible.

The silent diesel generator has experienced an oil leak. What could be the cause of this

  1. The piston and cylinder liner of the silent diesel generator are poorly sealed, leading to oil rising and burning;

  2. Factors such as low equipment load, no-load operation, and low turbocharging pressure can also affect the sealing effect of the equipment, causing oil to overflow into the cylinder;

  3. Some of the oil flows through the cylinder and participates in combustion, while the remaining part remains unburned. This unburned oil forms carbon deposits and is emitted with the exhaust gas. When the exhaust pipe of a Silent Generator is assembled or forms carbon deposits, the oil and carbon will flow out from the interface of the exhaust manifold when they accumulate to a certain extent;

4. When the oil in the silent Diesel Generator's turbocharger accumulates to a certain level, it can also lead to leakage from the surface of the turbocharger's joint;
